Nothing's more powerful than a smile, isn't it? A great weapon to survive when darkness takes over the day, 'cause even the darkest ones aren't so frustrating and gloomy with a sweet and vivid smile between your cheeks. Life is not short, it's unpredictable and pointless, therefore joy shouldn't be a privilege. It should be a pleasure to give to oneself every single day.
No matter what happens, how horrible, tragic, and dreadful it is, it can be faced with a genuine smile. Because, isn't it true that we both come and abandon this world with nothing? Everything, even the worst situation imaginable, is a gift.
Everything in life is an increase!
It would suck to die knowing you have been unhappy at some point in your life, that you have waisted a single second of it being sad. Bring a smile to your life! As Charles Strouse wrote in Annie (1982) “You’re never fully dressed without a smile”.
Let’s say, for example, that you are told that you’ve got a year left to life because of a cancer. What would you do? Would you continue your life in the misery of woes? Or would you begin to fulfill your dreams and desires? Travelling, drawing, writing a book, trying to always be happy and enjoy your last days. Now think about it: if you would try to savour every moment in your last year without caring about sorrow, why not doing the same with your whole life. In the end, the doctor may tell you the bad new next week, you wouldn’t be the first...
